Friends of Citizens Advice Tadley & District

As a local charity, we rely on the support of our community to help us raise funds, volunteer to provide help and be involved with promoting our cause. If you're interested in donating or other financial giving, please see the section below.

If you are interested in the work we do and/or have some free time and want to meet people and be involved in community events, we have a lot to offer. We have set up a 'Friends' group to help organise events, promote our cause and raise much needed funds to help keep our friendly, caring and accessible service in Tadley and the surrounding areas going.

Thanks to a small number of very dedicated volunteers, we've established our Friends group and successfully run events like our indoor car boot sales and small business networking. We're now expanding the group to start involving more local people to help with activities like:

hosting car boot sales or our stall at other local events, like the Treacle Fair
sharing posters and leaflets locally
spreading the word about our local cause to both people who need our help and those who might be able to help us through giving

When volunteering with us, our Friends get:

evidence of the impact of their support, including showing how our organisation makes a real difference to local people
to meet new people who also want to support local causes and promote the wellbeing of our community
the opportunity to volunteer with a trusted and well-known local charity at professionally run events and initiatives

As a charity, we rely on your support to provide free, confidential and impartial advice to help people to keep a roof over their heads, put food on the table and stay warm in the coldest months.

Record numbers of people are turning to us for help as we face the biggest cost-of-living crisis in decades. Nobody should have to face their problems alone and we know that the right advice at the right time can provide people with the lifeline they so desperately need.

You can choose whether to make a one-off gift or a regular monthly payment. Regular gifts give us a steady source of income, to help make sure no one has to deal with their problems alone. Please help us to make a difference to people’s lives, by helping them to move forward with the challenges they are facing.

Please remember to ‘Gift Aid’ your donation if you can, as this means we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give and it won’t cost you any extra. At various times, Greenham Trust will also match-fund your donation (up to an overall limit each year), meaning a £10 donation can be worth as much as £22.50 to us!

To donate by cheque, please make your cheque payable to ‘Tadley and District Citizens Advice Bureau’. Please put in the post marked for the attention of The CEO, Citizens Advice Tadley, using the address on the contact page.

Leave a Legacy

Remember Us in Your Will

Gifts left in a will - usually known as legacies - don't need to be large. When the time is right for you to remember a charity in your will, please do remember Citizens Advice Tadley. Every gift in every will, however large or small makes a huge difference to our work. Even a 1% share of your estate will mean we can support many more people needing our help.

We know that you will want to take care of those closest to you first. By also supporting Citizens Advice Tadley, your gift will mean we can be there for future generations needing our help.

Many charitable gifts from wills are exempt from Inheritance Tax and this can help reduce the total amount of tax paid on your estate. We recommend consulting your legal adviser when making changes to a will, to ensure that your wishes are fully implemented.
